Notes

General

The V-Ray Additional Attributes can be added to the shading engine of any material This is done from the Attributes>VRay menu in the Attribute Editor with a shading engine selected.

Parameters

V-Ray material override

V-Ray Material - connecting a material in this slot will override the material connected to the surface material slot of the shading engine. This gives You the ability to use a specific material only when rendering with V-Ray.

GI Material - this is the material V-Ray will use while calculating the GI solution.

Reflection Material - this is the material V-Ray will use to render the object with, when the object is seen in reflections.

Refraction Material - this is the material V-Ray will use to render the object with, when the object is seen through refractions.

Shadow Material - this is the material that will be used to render shadows cast from the object.

Material ID

Material ID - this is the color that will be used by the "Material ID" render element.

Multimatte ID - this is the integer ID of the material to be used by the "Multimatte" render element.

Round edges

Enable Round Edges - enables the round edges effect which uses bump mapping to smooth out the edges of the geometry during render time.

Radius - specify a radius (in world units) for the round edges effect. Since the actual geometry is not being changed and only the normals of the faces are affected large values here may produce undesirable effects.
